Padilla was legally constituted on January 20, 1964. Since the beginning, Padilla centered its activities in the area of Graphic arts, with its main focus on the impression of government seals and commercial prints. In the year 1986, Leon Asensio Brothers purchased the Company.
Two years later, the Management decided to eliminate the line of government seals, and to refocus the production lines towards the label segment for industrial use. In this market, we are the pioneers in the production of metal labels in the Dominican Republic.
An important investment in machinery, the most advanced vanguard technology equipment, and the construction of new buildings in accordance with World standards, made possible the sustainable company growth.
Permanently seeking to offer integral service and taking advantage of the diversification opportunities that the market offers, a new line of production was introduced in 1995: light carton (folding carton). This significantly broadened the volume of production and sales for the national and International market.
As our customers’ needs change and with the vision to offer packaging Solutions, in the year 2000 the company Management decided to broaden its offers, introducing the flexible packaging print in Rotogravure.
Currently, Padilla’s modern lines of printing position our company among the most advanced in Graphic Arts Technology in the Caribbean Region.
